Entering the engineering field in 1985, Robert’s experience includes work as a construction manager, estimator, and design engineer for masonry contractor and fabricator in building cladding. Through his 30-year career at ODOT in roadway/bridge design, Robert designed multiple bridge types and minor structures throughout the state of Oregon, including serving as lead bridge designer for two award-winning projects in Portland (MLK Street Viaduct and the Iowa Street Viaduct). Robert has also worked as the lead bridge reviewer for local agency and consult projects of all sizes. Joining Emerio in 2022, Robert is currently starting a new bridge unit to serve Emerio’s public works clients.
Robert and his wife Joy have two children. Outside of work, you can find Robert golfing, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors, as well as serving with Joy at their local church.
