Dan started his Civil Engineering career in 1983 with predominately public sector work. He brings a wealth of experience in design, construction, and management working primarily with public agencies. Dan’s public experience began with ODOT in 1984 performing drafting, surveying, and road construction inspection activities. He then spent 29 years with Lane County as Chief Inspector of Road Construction, Construction Specifications Engineer, and Sr. Engineer in Transportation Planning. Joining the Emerio team in 2017, his areas of expertise include project management, specification writing, pavement management, cost estimating, familiarity with ODOT resources and methods, detailed plan review, construction inspection, constructability reviews, and quality assurance.

A native Oregonian having lived in the Willamette Valley most of his life, Dan loves being outdoors, whether he’s building, fishing, boating, hunting, backpacking, or traveling. Number one on his list is fishing for trout at Crane Prairie along with college buddies from OSU who have faithfully gathered for their annual Boy’s Weekend fishing trip for nearly 25 years. A close second would be his love for the Beavers, being a football season ticket holder for well over 20 years.
