Job Description
Summary: Project-level field work that requires knowledge of surveying principles and equipment. The Senior Survey Technician must possess good communication skills, knowledge of jurisdictional or company surveying standards, work in a team setting, and be able to supervise and/or give direction to junior staff.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Possess ability to prepare project-related documents, including survey notes.*
2. Communicate effectively with others.*
3. Use survey equipment and software.*
4. Use network drives, email, and management systems as dictated by project requirements.*
5. Supervise junior staff.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: AS in Surveying Technology and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates and Licenses: LSIT desired, valid Driver’s License required.
Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and jurisdictional surveying standards. Effective communication skills both verbal and written are desired.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in the use of surveying equipment and software (Trimble Access or Survey Pro, Trimble Business Center) and network drives, email, and management systems as dictated by project requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise junior staff.

All field personnel are required to wear long pants and work boots. Certain work sites will require the wearing of hard hats which will be provided by the company. Safety vests and shirts are required for all work sites.
