Dave Reece to Retire

After more than 42 years of working in civil engineering across the Pacific Northwest, David J Reece, PE has announced his retirement. A 1977 graduate of Oregon State University’s College of Engineering, Dave opened his own firm in 1997, bringing civil engineering design and project / construction management services to residential, municipal, commercial, and industrial projects across Oregon, Washington, and Nevada.

“I am most proud of the engineers, planners, and team members I have had the privilege of mentoring over my career. I have had a wonderful run and have seen many visionary projects come to fruition that have transformed our communities. What a legacy.” – Dave Reece

In 2023, Reece’s Albany-based firm was acquired by Emerio Design as the first step in Dave’s retirement journey and has been operating as Reece Engineering & Survey. Since the acquisition, Dave and his team have worked closely with Emerio to provide a broader array of services to clients in Southern Oregon, the Willamette Valley, and coastal cities. With Dave’s retirement, the team from Albany will transition to Emerio’s Eugene office.

Dave will continue as an advisor to the company as he spends more time with family and friends. He is looking forward to continuing his involvement in the Oregon State University Dugout Club, which supports OSU Baseball, and seeing more of the country with his wife in their RV.

The Emerio team wishes Dave a wonderful retirement and sends our best wishes to him and his family as he embarks on this new journey.
