Emerio Design Acquires Reece & associates
Two Titans Join Forces to Bring Expanded Civil Engineering Services to You!
Since 2005, Emerio Design has been a thought leader in civil and structural engineering, land use planning, surveying, and house design across the Pacific Northwest. Today, we are thrilled to announce the expansion of our services into Oregon’s mid-valley through the acquisition of Reece & associates (R&a), an engineering and planning firm in Albany, Oregon.
The Reece team comes to Emerio Design with a storied history themselves, having enjoyed more than 25 years of successful commercial, municipal, and residential projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. During that time, they have worked extensively in Southern Oregon, the Willamette Valley, and coastal cities to transform communities by delivering engineering services for land development projects.
For the Emerio team, this announcement brings with it an array of positive outcomes. First, with the strengthening of our core services, we will be able to extend and enhance our capacity to take on a greater number of projects for our clients and communities. From increased staffing capacity, larger geographic reach, and access to cross-training, team members will have more opportunities for their own career growth and professional development.
For our clients, we will be able to bolster our suite of full-service engineering support across both businesses. Throughout our company, we can further demonstrate why Emerio is the partner of choice and how this additional layer of knowledge, talent, and skills brings with it project coverage that complements the work needing to be done in a given region or community.
At Emerio, we are proud of our roots and committed to engineering that advances and transforms communities. That core tenet has been a throughline for our team these past couple decades and continues to inform how our owner, Neil Fernando, PE, leads us. It is also one of the many reasons R&a owner, Dave Reece, PE, was drawn to the firm.
Together, these two leaders share a common vision for where our discipline in going. Forged by both of their time in the engineering program at Oregon State University (OSU), and their love of Beaver sports, Neil and Dave view the combination of their two firms as a catalyst to transform the landscape of engineering moving ahead—but also to pay it forward as alumni to the university they are both so passionate about (through scholarships, speaking opportunities, and academic events). Today, the combined teams have 21 OSU graduates on staff.
R&a will continue to operate as a separate business under the new name of Reece Engineering & Survey, with founder Dave Reece joining the executive team at Emerio as he transitions towards retirement in the coming years.
In our universe of engineering, the world of small businesses affecting true, meaningful change is small. The union of our two long-established, well-respected firms is significant. We believe that with our incredible teams, the future is bright.
Because of you. Because of what you contribute.
Emerio Design is beyond thrilled to welcome the Reece team to the family and grateful for the opportunity to serve our clients ever better. We invite anyone with questions to please reach out to learn how this partnership can benefit your next project!
