While working for PBOT, he assisted with ADA Ramp inspection/design, updating the City of Portland Cost Estimate template sheet, and generating Cost Estimate Reports for various projects in the preliminary phase. In his current role, Rick’s expertise is used in drafting up plan sheets in AutoCAD/MicroStation, creating Curve Warning Sign Request forms using Ball Bank Analysis, and other general design tasks in the civil engineering realm. He appreciates the diverse work environment as well as the team bonding events hosted by Emerio Design.
Hailing from Osaka, Japan, Rick moved to the US when he was 10 years old. He is a big baseball and basketball fan (Go Blazers and Go Mariners!) and in his off time you will find him either watching or attending multiple games during the season.
