Entering the engineering field in 1987, Mike’s experience includes design, project management, and quality management for private development and public works projects. Working for a large local engineering firm, he has managed many consultant project teams for the Oregon Department of Transportation, Washington County, Multnomah County, and the City of Hillsboro. Mike was the Consultant Design Manager for TriMet’s recently constructed Portland to Milwaukie LRT project and several other LRT projects prior. He has extensive experience developing and managing quality control programs and served as the Quality Manager during the permitting and development phase of the Columbia River Crossing project, a joint venture between Washington DOT, Oregon DOT, and TriMet.
Mike and his wife, Joan, have two college-age daughters, both attending Oregon State University. Mike’s eye for detail and design are clearly seen in his interest in classic muscle cars. His restoration of a 1966 Impala Super Sport finds him at Cruise Ins during the summer season.
