Steve’s land use planning career began in 1993 and has included work in both the public and private sectors. His education complements over 25 years of experience in city/urban planning, land development, contract negotiation, site plan review, RFQ/RFP processes, and collaboration with engineers, utility companies, county boards, and city councilors. His work covers cities and counties throughout the Portland Metropolitan Area, as well as the state. He is proficient in all phases of project management, with areas of strength including: municipal planning, land acquisition, entitlements/due diligence, wireless telecommunication facilities, and final approvals. He also has extensive experience in application preparation and processing for all types of land development; including, but not limited to: Comprehensive Plan and Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) Amendments, Zone Changes, Subdivisions, Planned Unit Developments (PUD), and Conditional Use Permits (CUP).

Ever a classic rock fan, Steve often searches for live performances of his favorite bands from this genre. Spending time outdoors fishing and golfing is a favorite past time of Steve’s along with camping at Cascade Lakes in Central Oregon.
