Jon began his land surveying career in 1977 and earned his Oregon Professional Surveyor’s license in 1986, and his Washington Surveyor’s license in 2002. Over the course of his surveying career, he has worked with the City of Tigard, W&H Pacific, Comstock NW, Inc. (as owner), Alpha Engineering, David Evans & Associates, Land Tech, Inc., and Heritage Surveying. His surveying experience includes field and office surveying including preparation of boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, subdivision and condominium plats and site maps, and preparing legal descriptions. Joining Emerio Design in 2014, Jon specializes in survey research, preparing boundary surveys, Condominium and Subdivision Plats, and writing legal descriptions.
Jon enjoys walking his three Norwegian Elkhounds as a daily activity with his wife who is also a licensed surveyor. They enjoy spending time with family, especially watching their three granddaughters who are involved with sports. A native Oregonian and a nostalgic surveyor, Jon married his wife at Willamette Stone State Park, near where he grew up, and where the initial point for public lands in Oregon and Washington is located.
